Bible Study Aid

These questions are intended as a study aid, to stir your mind and thoughts on the article pertaining to : " Are You Being Called?"

·         Must God first invite -- or call people to become part of His family, or is it up to each of us to first call on Him? (Matt. 13:1-8, 10-11, 18-23; 22:14; Romans 8:28- 30; John 6:44,65; I Corinthians 1:2).

·         What immense sacrifice did God make in order for mankind to have access to Him and salvation? (John 3:16; Hebrews 2:9).

·         What kind of attitude does God need to see in us? Do we need to see our shortcomings and smallness in comparison to Him? (II Timothy 2:24-25; Isaiah 66:2; I John I :8-9; Acts 2:38).

·         What help does God offer us to enable us to have a relationship with Him? Are there any conditions to receiving that help? (John 14: 16-17, 26; John 15 :26; 16:7; Acts 5:32; 10:45; I John 2:3-6,5:2-3).

·         Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, God extends the opportunity for a relationship with Him, and offers each person an eternal, priceless gift. What is this gift? (Matthew 25:34; I John 3:1-3; Titus 1:2; Romans 6:23; 8:11; 30; I Timothy 6: 12; II Peter 1:4

·         God made a covenant with Abraham and then with ancient Israel. Did God say He would make a "new" covenant? (Jeremiah 31 :31-33 and Hebrews 8:6,8).

What essential ingredient is needed in this new covenant? (Romans 8:13-15; Ezekiel 36:26-28).

Who are members of God's family, His household? (I Timothy 3: 15; Ephesians 2: 19-22; I Corinthians 12: 12, 27.

What distinguishes the true disciples of God and makes them a part of the true Church of God? (Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:l3).
