The Author of this Violence - Past and Present

"Do you remember?"  This expression is spoken thousands of times by people all over the world. They are asking you to 'recollect' a person, place, or an eventJust by the meaning of the word, "remember" we are being told that we were given the information at some time before.  As we recollect the information we can remember detail that may have been missed before.

In the gospel of John chapter 13, Jesus Christ washed the disciples feet and told Simon Peter (V8) "If I wash you not, you have no part with me."  Jesus Christ must wash the disciples and in I John 1:7, John reiterated that teaching of Jesus.

In Luke 22:19, Jesus at the Passover meal took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave unto them (his disciples), saying "...this is my body which is given for you:  this do in Remembrance of Me."  We can see this in I Cor. 11:24-25 that Jesus Christ is our Passover.  As I Cor. 5:7 states: "For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us."  And on the night of the Passover he is saying, do this in remembrance of me, your Passover.

Christ tells us why to remember him as our Passover.  You do show (proclaim, preach, teach, the Lord's death till he come.  The things that we do on the Passover night, are preaching to ourselves. and to others that Jesus, our Passover is remembered on this night by the footwashing, unleavened bread, and wine.

In Christ's service,
John shavers
